Hudgins Brings TOC Media Visibility

During the last two months, The Objectivist Center's new Washington director, Edward L. Hudgins, has been bringing greatly increased media attention to TOC and its views. Following are some of his most important appearances.

May 4, 2002: Guest on Fox Wire with Rita Cosby on the Fox News Channel debating smoking bans and property rights.

May 1, 2002: Comment on The John Gibson Show on the Fox News Channel about smoking bans and property rights.

May 2002: Quoted, as was Ayn Rand, in article entitled "Amtrak Shrugged" in Washington Business Forward magazine about the demise of a government railroad.

April 29, 2002: Article on "The Next Free Market: Let entrepreneurs, not government bureaucrats, run space exploration" in Forbes Magazine.

April 27, 2002: Guest on WAOA 1560 AM radio, Cocoa Beach, Florida, discussing various political issues.

April 26, 2002: Quoted in article entitled "Montgomery's living wage — a deadly deal?" in the Washington Business Journal about the Montgomery County Council's "Living Wage" law.

April 25, 2002: Quoted in article entitled "The Failure of the U.S. Educational System" at CNSNEWs.com on the failure of American schools to educate students.

April 24, 2002: Guest on The Gary Nolan Show on Radio America discussing problems with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

April 20, 2002: Guest on The Batchelor and Alexander Show on WABC 77 radio in New York City discussing the security of Amtrak and the airlines.

April 17, 2002: Guest on WCAX radio, Vermont, on agriculture subsidies.

April 5, 2002: Guest on the USA Radio Network discussing the privatization of the U.S. Postal Service.

April 5, 2002: Participated in a press conference with other free-market groups at the National Press Club to discuss the coming postal rate hike and the need to privatize the U.S. Postal Service. Hudgins issued a press release on the issue.

March 25, 2002: Comment on CNN Headline News about liquidating Amtrak.
