ROGER DONWAY, a senior research fellow at the Institute for Energy Research, is also TNI’s senior editor. In his monthly column, Roger offers suggestions as to how to protect political liberty in a democracy. In addition, he weighs in on two thoughtful books that address postmodern and relativist challenges to reason and objectivity.

EDWARD L. HUDGINS, executive director of The Atlas Society, contributes two pieces this month. In the first, Dr. Hudgins’s prescribes his 12-step remedy for Republican spendaholics. In the second, he profiles the good people at the Motion Picture Institute, producers of award-winning pro-freedom, pro-capitalist films.

ROBERT L. JONES, our entertainment editor, pens most of our film reviews. This time, Robert reports on two very different movies that have similar, inspiring themes: Rocky Balboa starring (who else?) Sylvester Stallone and The Pursuit of Happyness.featuring Will Smith. Robert’s whet my appetite to go see both.

ALEC MOUHIBIAN is a writer in Los Angeles. A graduating senior at UCLA, Alec was a columnist at The Daily Bruin and The Daily Nexus, and is currently chief editor of The Bruin Standard, an alternative student newspaper. Alec makes his debut here with his entertaining review of the book Crunchy Cons. His website: www.bluecoffeeblog.com

HUGO SCHMIDT is a newcomer to TNI who is currently finishing his master’s in Biology at Oxford University. He has had a long love of science and is a student member of the Institute of Biology, the Astrobiology Society UK, the Immortality Institute, the World Transhumanist Association, and the Oxford University Scientific Society. The review of The God Delusion is his first published work, and he would like to thank Richard Dawkins for taking the time to answer his questions.
