ok...I'll bite.... ya can't separate the hole from the donut and when ya eat it then you the donut and the hole are 1. ...use the force luke.. ..talkin mess, but if'n ya look close the answer is there... ..if ya use english it can come out in a linear syllogism, if ya use art, ya end up with prose, music and pictures which provoke as opposed to illustrate, if'n ya use some of the asian languages ya end up with linguistics that are perhaps more accurately linked as referrents but end up being really problematic for linear reasoning, if'n ya use math ya may end up with something an engineer would find very tasty or you may end up in a multi-dimensional ultra vibratory superstring black hole without a flashlight....and that would really suck... know what I mean?
existence = 1+action = causality- leads to>>life= measurment- leads to>>mind = unit based concept formation [uh-oh]= many units/objects/internal/external/etc = big ole mess [but only if you are an academic having fun with yourself] cleans up quick and easy if ya use it as a means to an end cause you end up back at: existence=1
[yes, I am being entirely too pompous and sardonic...this iz serious shiznit...my apologies...sort of]
are my eyes really blue?

firstly: "here" isnt worth posting anything serious. It's an open messageboard in cyberspace on the planet earth year 2007. secondly: I do not play the remix the username game...if I get booted I'm gone... thirdly: they don't "care" because "they" are "busy" building empires and fortunes on rands bones...you have eyes do you not see?
If your intention is to reconcile linear modes of conceptualization with non-linear modes; enjoy: it's the right thing to do. I offer this: ya can't teach "truth". If you are doing this for your own pleasure be careful about using cyberspace as your medium for debate. The "cowardly" thing you run into is because everyone is riding rands bandwagon and pretending her POV...or worse bootlegging it.
If you are sinscere in your purpose build your own and find youngsters [or oldsters] who are ALREADY working it out....and instead of wasting time with syllogistic sillyness: give evidence that thinking is good for em...
Rands best acheivment was her novels....she ought not have published the intellectual backstory....Those who appropriate ideas to create social networks salivate just thinking about all the dead metaphysicians that left so many useful tools and such powerful longstanding reputations....I haven't seen any...um....objectivist movies, novels etc since rand checked out...you? Oh...there was someone who wrote a book about some basketball players...and that really embarrassing, um documentry...ahem....yeeesh..."yeah, like gary cooper...but better lookin".....like wow! heir apparent[ly not]
know what "objectivism" ahem, looks like in the real world: John Lautner, Bruce Lee, Tesla, many others known and unknown....[and waaaayyy better lookin than gary cooper....really] ...and most of them don't spend a lot of time takin your money to teach you how to contmplate other peoples works while they advocate war in the middle east while those who would wage said wars rob you blind and set the conditions for "jihads".... don't buy the BS.... anyway.....
don't use the dark side of the force luke....it..is...your....destiny --young skywalker... be cool....

One of dv8nxs's contradictions:
First, "Miss Rands works are: MISS RANDS WORKS. PERIOD. Not to be "added to" or "expanded on" by ANYONE."
Then,"Has a SINGLE ONE OF ANY OF THESE FOLKS CONTRIBUTED ANYTHING ORIGINAL THAT DID NOT START AS A CRUMB ON RANDS PLATE?"
So which is it, DV? Are we to worship Ayn as the revealer of the complete truth? Or are we to respond with original thought?
BTW, DO YO THINK YOUR POINTS BECOME MORE TRUE IF YOU SHOUT?
i don't.... :)

Oh. DV, I see your last posts 'apologize' for excess sardonic tone and approach reasonable conversation. Well and good. The morrning 'posting window' is closing, but, later.... :)

Well, I agree much of it is syllogistic silliness, but I say THAT can be good for a person, done rightly.
But the basic point is well taken.
Now, what would something serious be like, and where would be a good place to do it?
