Reading Group Discussion Questions
Reply Quote
I would like to start a reading group/book club to discuss Atlas Shrugged.  I'm about to read it for the first time myself and want to be able to discuss the concepts with others as I read.  I've found a few lists of discussion questions online, but it seems to be the same 8-10 questions.  I'd like to be able to meet every few chapters and would love to find a discussion guide broken down that way.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

This place is a graveyard.  I think Greg and I are the only ones who even post on here anymore, barring the random stranger.

Even so, I'll keep supporting this site, just to keep the heartbeat going a little bit.  If you want to post stuff, I'll respond maybe once a week or whatever.

I last read Atlas Shrugged maybe 15 years ago, but I'm constantly refreshing my memory by occasionally rereading some of the main passages and examining the derivative literature, such as Rand's later works.

So, yeah, the book is quite a task.  Grab your dictionary.  Otherwise, have fun, otherwise it isn't worth it.  Enjoy!

Hello, cdreed,

I'll be glad to participate. I have read Atlas Shrugged several times, as well as some reading on the making of Atlas Shrugged. Yes, indeed, many things can be asked about some details of this story, and I guess I'm knowledgeable enough on it to answer many questions.

I suppose you have finished reading Atlas Shrugged at this time.
