This is my favorite quote from Ayn Rand. I think people tend to hold onto a lot of ideas which are not supported by reason. Reason is a very difficult task, especially to do so 24/7. I think it's ok to take a break from reason when relaxing, but this must also be a period when no ideas or concepts are being examined or used. Perhaps a session of Zen meditation would be a good example of "taking a break from reason".
