I am trying to figure out what is the meaning of the calendar in Atlas Shrugged. Can anyone help me?

Personally I think the callender is a reference to the fact that an objectivist, cherishing each and every productive moment would have no need to be reminded of what day it is.  On the other hand the collectivists to whom each day is just like the last and who has little or nothing to look forward to needs the reminder of the passage of time.

Just my thoughts on this.

There's really not a lot of traffic here is there.

No, there definitely is not.  It's really a shame that a thousand threads a day move just on the General forums for WoW, but hardly anything here.  :(

I liken it to the idea of the State Panopticon. It watches as much as it is watched (perhaps moreso).

The meaning of the calendar can be reduced to single, clear phrase:

“Your days are numbered.”

This is certainly not what the Mayor of New York, who decided to made it set up intended to say-as it said in the 1st chapter, but it is the meaning Ayn Rand wanted for it.
